Jennifer Kane Waterway practices marital and family law and related civil litigation, handling matters such as dissolution of marriage, child custody and timesharing, child relocation, alimony, child support, equitable distribution of assets and debt, contempt and enforcement, post-judgment modifications, partition actions, domestic violence, paternity, dependency, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Ms. Waterway also serves as a guardian ad litem and attorney ad litem for children in need.

Ms. Waterway has extensive experience handling family law matters. She litigated for several years with a highly respected Boca Raton law firm where she focused on family law matters and represented clients at all stages of proceedings, including trials and appeals. She also participates in many organizations and serves on several committees, including The Florida Bar, Family Law Section, Adoption/Paternity/Dependency/Children’s Issues Committee, which is instrumental in passing legislation related to important child issues.

Ms. Waterway began her career litigating at high-powered South Florida law firms including Akerman Senterfitt representing sophisticated corporate clients in product liability, mass tort, and commercial matters in state and federal courts across the country. Her clients included manufacturers and distributors of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, heavy equipment, luxury yachts, and other high-profile products, providing her with aggressive and extensive litigation and courtroom experience. Prior to working in the private sector, Ms. Waterway served as a judicial law clerk at the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she handled civil, criminal, and marital and family law appeals.

Ms. Waterway’s background and experience makes her uniquely suited to handle family law matters efficiently and effectively. She is aggressive but reasonable, capable of handling difficult cases, and devoted to resolving cases with the least amount of conflict where possible. She is sensitive to child issues, client needs, and the strain of legal proceedings on families, and tries to minimize this stress wherever possible.
